The single way money moves on ARTup. Whatever you are paying for, and whichever
part of the platform you are paying from, the payment itself works the same way
and looks the same.
Anyone buying something on the platform: a service, a website, a work. In time,
also anyone being paid.
Pay by card. You pay without leaving the page you are on. Your bank may ask
you to confirm the payment through its own app or with a code, which is normal
and expected.
Pay for the two paid services. Two things on the platform are paid for
through this checkout today: the time stamp of a document (1,00 EUR) and the
certification of your Art Coefficient (5,00 EUR). The price of each is set by
the platform, not by the page you are paying from.
One payment, one service, once. An order pays for a single service, and only
once. A payment used for a document time stamp cannot also be used for a
certification, or for a second document. If a service reports that your payment
is not confirmed, it means the order has not been completed, is not yours, is
for another service, or has already been used.
Know the outcome. Every payment is attached to an order, which shows
whether the payment went through, is still being processed, or failed. Your card
details go to a regulated payment provider, not into ARTup.
How the payment provider is plugged in, and how the state of an order and its
payment are kept in step, is described in the developer documentation:
Payments Applet Architecture.
Planned: paying by bank transfer and with digital currency, working the same
way from your side, so that choosing how to pay does not change how the
platform behaves around you.
One familiar checkout across the whole ecosystem, with your card details kept
away from the platform itself.
