Your ARTup account is who you are on the platform. The same account, with the
same email address and password, works in every part of ARTup: your artist
profile, your works, the assistant, and anything you buy. You do not create a
separate account for each tool.
Sign in once. Inside the ARTup Suite you log in one time and every app
opens already signed in: you do not sign in again as you move between them.
Until the Suite frame is in place on the test environment, each app still asks
you to sign in on its own, with that same account. See "The ARTup Suite".
Sign out everywhere. Logging out ends your session in all the apps
together. Any other window or tab you have open on ARTup notices and returns to
the login screen as well. It works in the other direction too: a second window
that is waiting on the login screen enters the platform by itself once you have
logged in elsewhere.
Anyone who wants to do more than browse. You can look around parts of ARTup
without an account. An account is what lets the platform recognise your work as
yours.
Create an account. You enter your email address, accept the ARTup terms and
conditions, and choose whether you want to receive the ARTup newsletter. The
platform checks that the sign-up comes from a person and not from an automated
program. You then receive an email with a link to activate the account.
Choose what kind of account it is. When you activate the account you set
your password, give your name and country, and choose the kind of account that
fits you: an art lover, an artist, a curator, or a gallery. The gallery kind
also covers museums and exhibition spaces, and takes the name of the
organisation rather than a person's name.
Hold more than one profile. Under one account you can keep several
profiles, for example one as an artist and one as a curator, and choose which
one is your default. Your profile is what other people see.
Keep your details up to date. From your account page you can change your
name, your country and your profiles.
Look after your password. If you have forgotten it, you can ask for a reset
link by email and choose a new one.
Planned: closing your account yourself from your account page.
Your work stays attached to you rather than to a page that anyone could have
written. Everything else on ARTup, from your score to your certificates, rests
on the platform knowing who you are.
